Glass Moulds

There are many possibilities for glass productions but in the end, it´s about the quality of the mould. You can use wood, graphite, different kinds of metal and of course, each material has its special properties and advantages compared to the others. Usually, wooden moulds are used for tests and small quantities but not all designs are possible here with this material. Metal moulds are used for higher quantities and more stable productions. However, there are glass blowers who only work with wooden molds as for the special and natural appearance of the results and the handmade character you get by using them.  We are going to make some tests soon with new high tec materials to enable better surfaces and more stable tolerances for our products. We are curious about the options and results.

Wood vs Metal Mold

New Glass Design - "Bulls Eye"

There is a new Glass Design/ pattern called "BullsEye". This pattern comes with oval, olive size dots which are made in the hot workshop with the help of an extra mold. The overall character of this glass design is more"raw" than the other designs but looks very natural and stylish, especially when paired with a black lid. We start with the 300 size here and will end up also with other sizes and colors soon. There are more designs to come soon.

After having some problems with the improved production of the quite complicated Mazzer S2/S3 adapters which fit for the Mazzer Kony & ZM (S2) and the Mazzer Robur, Major plus Royal (S3) we are able to finish another batch here in the next days after the polishing process.

This was the first model of the S2/S3 adapters and it was modified to get a more elegant design. 08.08.2018
